Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 20/1/2020.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for over 3 years now.

I also want to mention incase your wondering that when something doesn't seem normal from the other regular "Price Updates" that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change their format from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and so keeping an eye on the price.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price change for 20/1/2020.

Alright crew 2020 hope the new year is going well for you so far? Can you believe we are now coming to the last week of January already! I missed the other night due to a going out with some friends which was strangely quieter then the usual night's out we have had but it was nice to sit around the table having a good chat. I missed the better half of the night because I had left this is because I had an early work shift the next morning with the horrid boss. I actually feel they are trying to mess with my social life right now as the last 3 time's I had plans to go out they have given me very early shifts for the following day, now I don't normally believe they would do such a thing but I'am beginning to find it rather strange that I had no early shifts until I have somewhere late to be out with friends then bang they give me the early shift.

My goal is to reach 10.000 SP I have been on here for over 3 years and have never powered down once meaning your votes are safe with me and help retain Steem's value. And so with everything totalled from 2019 this gave us a gran-total of..

"7.841 SP"

..and so that is what we had to start the year with, and 10.000 being our goal for the year. So if you want to help me jump-start this quest to lock away 10.000 Steem Power and retain more of Steem's value please consider leaving your best vote below.

So back in 2019 Steem had been going up slightly until Nov 22th when it fell to $0.10 this was the "fault of Bitcoin" when it dropped to around $6580 it marked the new lowest Steem price for 2019. That means in 2020 Steem's lowest is already better then in 2019 at $0.11. You may have already notice have been mostly sticking to a Steem price between $0.11 and $0.13 it's only been in the last few days we have seen jumps to $0.19! On the 18th of January marks Steem's highest for the year at 0.20 just shy of last year's result when it was around 0.21. This makes 2020 a great opportunity to buy-in cheap Steem for those who want it. My payments were getting declined by the service I used it was the actual company selling the crypto in the first place who were blocking my payments. It made no sense, I mean what kind of company blocks payments to their business then accuses their customer of being fraudulent without reason or even refused to solve the situation in-any-way?Luckily I found a different method right here on Steemit.com and I have now made a few payments with them. No problems until I brought a higher amount and while I could still buy Bitcoins it seems to have errors when buying Steem in bigger quantities. I still need to test the matter-out further as perhaps they have simply ran out of Steem to sell, but what worries me the most is the lack of replies from their customer service. I didn't get a single reply from them which makes me worry, I mean what if there was a bigger issue to be dealt with? Are they just going to ignore their customers? Anyway with Bitcoins it was back in October 26th when it last reached $10000 since then Bitcoins fell surprisingly fast to $6580! On Nov 29th Bitcoins recovered somewhat and as been seen around $7300, and going into the new year not been much as changed. Regardless you may have heard alot of talk lately about Bitcoins coming out the bear market.. like right now! But to be honest Bitcoins as actually been going slowly upwards already since Dec 18th 2019 and so far as stopped this trend on Jan 19th 2020. The SBD price also dropped along with Steem and Bitcoins, it continued dropping slowly with Nov 13th being the lowest, followed then by Nov 22th, it recovered until Nov 29th but from there it's not really changed we had it go just above 70 on Jan 18th which was last seen in Dec 22th.

NEW-STEEM Bringing SMT's.

Steemit INC continue to work hard on bringing us SMT's and communities for 2020, the team are not far off it's scheduled release, it's development is now done. If your curious the whitepaper is the most authoritative reference for understanding what SMTs can do for us in 2020. The best way to think of it all is like giving users the ability to create their own Steem-like-tokens. You could recently test out the Steem communities in the new Steem BETA that was open for everybody, but it did seem to have it's passwords changed. Still if you are "in" just be aware anything that you post on the BETA site will still be posted on Steemit.com these type of posts come only with their community tags, for example "hive-169926". Unfortunately with some strict whales out there be careful when posting "test posts". It's silly really the testing of things I mean, because if you want to test it's features and add some pressure to the created code you have to yet be-aware of some whales down-voting you. But since more of these post's have been appearing and being tested it seems like they are being more excepted. Also there are many worries about people who got in first taking all the good "community names". Don't worry as you can see from the community tags like "hive-169926" this is not a problem as you will still be able to get the name's you want for your community regardless of someone else already taking that name for their own community. Steemit INC also placed Platform Independent State Files which is a great way to make it easier to move databases into a format that is consistent across many platforms. Steemit INC are also involved in the burning of Steem, as right now alot of extra Steem is floating around because of the SBD conversions, also some of the gained rewards go towards the SteemDAO.

Also if your a business or interested in marketing and finding a community of active users thanks to Steemit INC and their advertising partner "BuySellAds" anyone who wants to purchase ad space on the steemit.com website may also do so now.
