Hello Paint Time Fans! I am so happy to bring you this wonderful attempt at painting flowers. This creation is inspired again by 
She says she's going to be famous, and I agree. Because that flower looks a lot like a martini glass, so maybe next we will paint her as a drunkin' Martian! I love Space themes!!
Since this was just a practice painting, there wasn't much thought about what I was going to create. I did follow another artist as they gave examples of simple flower doodles. I tried to include them all, drawing them on the canvas as I watched.

Some of the flowers turned out much better than others, but still some surprised me how cool they looked.
I used a lot of blending; beginning with a main color and then lightening with white to highlight.
Since I knew that I wanted to start with the sun, I choose the red, yellow, and red-orange to begin painting. I tried to include those same colors in other parts of the painting.
I follow the three by three rule, being that I used at least three different colors, in three different places of the painting. I heard that a long time ago when I was coloring, so apply it to my painting as well.
I think this rule works well in this painting. Once I was done with the reds, I began working on the leaves with the greens.
I added a little blue and purple, but tried not to go over board.
The big yellow and white flower in the middle really did turn out cool. I began with the darkest of the red-orange, then added yellow and white until the middles were shinny. I then went back with a dark orange/yellow to fill in the petal lines separating them.
I must have stared at the top of her head for two days before deciding on the one big puffy flower. I was hoping to put tiny delicate flowers on top, but I just didn't have the confidence. Once I decided on the big puff of a flower, the painting was completed.
