Hello, dear friends of Pinmapple, in today's post I want to share with you something that in part left me speechless. Let me explain: in life I would never have thought of finding an immersive exhibition organised inside a shopping centre.
These days I was on business near Gorizia, so we are in Friuli Venezia Giulia, and I have to say that as a region it is not rich in shopping centres, but since it was a bad day, I had decided, together with a colleague of mine, to go to this shopping centre which is located near the motorway exit at Villesse.
And we discovered that the second floor of the gallery had been set up as an immersive museum, I don't know how many people would like something like that, but I see it as bringing art to people in an itinerant way, let's say bringing art closer to those people who maybe go to the mall just to shop, and therefore making these people discover art as well.
The thing that struck me most was that the visitor to this exhibition, was 360 degrees inside these works, and so he was the real protagonist.
Basically, within this exhibition, the works of Gustav Klimt had been recreated, the greatest artist that many of you will probably still have seen, and let's say that this immersive art had the objective, according to what I said, of proposing to the visitor this new model of enjoying art thanks to this technology that is used during these exhibitions.
Of course, art purists will not agree with this, because it is a completely different thing to see these works of art live, and I can tell you from experience that they arouse other emotions, but this can also be a way to make people discover art who might not be able to see these works live.
The entrance fee for this exhibition is €11.50, and let's say it is perhaps a little high for what you can see within this exhibition.
As usual, I was happy to see these works again, some of which I had already seen live, also because he is one of my favourite artists, so when I could, I always went in search of his works, which unfortunately are many times part of private collections, so they are not always exhibited in collections or museums.
