Hello dear friends,

In this first post of my wonderful vacation, I want to share with you some beautiful photos I took during my first day in Sardinia. Yes, because in the end, I opted for an adventurous ferry crossing that took me to the enchanting coasts of Sardinia. Although I couldn't take many photos during the journey due to the chaos that often characterizes this means of transportation, which I hate, I tried to adapt because I couldn't find any available flights to reach the beautiful Sardinia, which would have been a faster way to get there.

I was fascinated by the natural beauty of this splendid island, and since I had been meaning to come here for a long time to spend some time with my cousin whom I haven't seen in a while, I decided to organize this a bit last minute, and unfortunately, it was quite heavy on my finances, especially because I noticed that prices have increased significantly in Sardinia since the last time I visited, I think about 30% more.

Anyway, yesterday I mostly enjoyed the scenery. I'm staying in Portixeddu, yes, because my cousin practically lives nearby and is hosting me, although she doesn't have a very big house. However, I will soon have to move to another part, let's say I have to go to the more touristy area of Sardinia, and it is in those places that I have to meet up with some old friends to spend some time together.

Here I am near Capo Pecora, a fortunately still quite unspoiled place in Sardinia, and you can see that from the photos I took. It's not a very well-known tourist destination, and I say fortunately because nowadays Sardinia is mostly covered in concrete, and to tell the truth, I prefer this wild and authentic part of this beautiful region.

I think this place is called Capo Pecora because, as my cousin explained to me, sheep farming was very common in this part of Sardinia, and these were the lands where shepherds brought their flocks to graze. Unfortunately, over time, this culture has been somewhat lost, although fortunately, some people still carry on this family tradition.
I can say that this part of Sardinia is very picturesque and beautiful. Moreover, something very rare, I found a free parking lot nearby, and it's also a place that, in my opinion, is very romantic, with these cliffs that partly resemble Nordic countries. One could stay here for weeks. In fact, I found campers that had been parked here for 15 days, enjoying this beautiful paradise.

Since I have to stay here for a couple of days, if I find the time to come back around sunset, I will definitely share some photos of the sunset in this beautiful place. It must be a very beautiful sight.
I noticed that around this bay, there are many trekking paths, made easier by the presence of fairly low bushes, although at times, this area can be quite windy, and that, in my opinion, is the only thing that could be a bit bothersome.

I hope my post has been helpful. If you want to find a more authentic and nature-oriented Sardinia, where you can also go snorkeling, in my opinion, this is the right place. But, as I always say, it depends on how one wants to spend their vacation. For example, for me, who loves nature, this is the ideal place.
And of course, if you want to stay fit, there are many trekking paths here, some of them quite well marked and maintained, and as you can see from the photos, you can enjoy beautiful panoramas. Definitely, this is a suitable place for those who love nature photography
