Hello friends, I hope things are progressing in the best way, today in this post, I would like to take you on a discovery of an island that I visit often, especially on my bicycle, and it is located right next to one of the most famous cities in the world, I am talking about Venice.

This island is practically 11 km long, a strip of land separating the Venetian lagoon from the Adriatic Sea, and can be reached from the famous Chioggia, another beautiful village to visit, or directly from Venice by waterbus.
However, I recommend that you go around it on foot or by bicycle, because that is how you will be able to see this beautiful island in depth.

I was staying in a hotel in Chioggia, and since this hotel provided me with bicycles for hire, I took the bikes and, thanks to the motorboat, I arrived on this island early in the morning, so I started taking pictures a bit at random, because the idea was to share parts of everyday life on the island

About 5,000 people still live on this island today, and you have to think about the difficulty of even living in these places where everything can only be reached by boat, but what impressed me most were these beautiful houses that still date back to the years of the Venetian Republic, which belonged to fishermen who lived here.

In fact, during my tour I also found a boatyard where they repaired and repaired fishermen's boats, which sometimes break down because of the stormy sea, or because they are made of wood and have to be maintained.

I was very impressed by visiting these places, by how the doors and windows were made.

But like the island of Murano and Burano I really like these houses, because they are very colorful, this is because they colored them to recognize them, especially because in this area there is often fog.

I also had a spritz break, a drink that is drunk as an aperitif in this region of Italy, and around Venice, and as usual I couldn't resist and ate some fries.

I then went for a ride on the beach, and I have to tell you that it is not very well maintained.
I photographed some fishing nets and then I went in search of shells because there were so many of them, something that I enjoy doing since I was a child.

I don't know who did it, but someone enjoyed making necklaces made from shells, and then left them there on the beach.

Unfortunately the photos turned out a bit so-so, because I was not so lucky and I had a bad day.

I must say that as an island, I liked it a lot, because it is very quiet and probably there is no traffic, because I remind you that the only motorized transport are small buses, it is really good.

I recommend the bicycle to visit it in one day, because otherwise walking is very complicated, especially if you stay in some hotel nearby you can certainly have it for free.
