Yesterday I practically managed to give my father a small gift by taking him to a place he had wanted to visit for a long time.
Often for work I am very busy and I am always around and sometimes when I want to dedicate some free time to my family.
That's why yesterday I wanted to take this trip with my father to Castel d'Arquato, a small town located in the province of Piacenza in Emilia Romagna.
I had already been here for work reasons,so yesterday I also decided to take you with me on this virtual tour.
This town is practically a medieval village that rises on this hill along the Arda river valley, and therefore was born in a truly strategic place.
You always understand from how these places are built how smart they once were.
From my point of view, the most interesting part of the village is undoubtedly its historic center, photos of narrow alleys and very characteristic houses.
What you see in the last photo is the Palazzo del Podestà, which is located in the heart of the town is that it is a building that dates back to 1200 although over the course of history it has been enlarged and modified several times.
But the most important tourist point in my opinion of the village, Undoubtedly the Rocca is a beautiful castle completed in 1349 with the highest tower that gives you a beautiful view over the Po valley and even the Apennines can be seen.
Unfortunately we weren't able to visit the castle inside because you have to book a lot in advance, however for those interested in the entrance The castle is € 8 with the tour guide included.
I must say that I was very impressed by this village because I found it very clean and a great point of interest.
Surely for people who love photos this is a very suitable village because there are many panoramic points from which to take beautiful photos in my opinion in the spring.
I do not recommend visiting during the summer period because here the temperatures reach very high points.
Even my father in the end was happy with this little trip, and I am happy to have granted one of his little wishes, in the end, as I always say, it takes little to make people happy.
I hope you liked the photos and I hope you liked the place too, Have a nice day and see you soon!!
