Hello hivers and happy Caturday to you all!!!
It's that time of the year for cats to wear their winter fur and they seems to be larger than usual. Sure, my furry friend Nanny is not so thin in every season, also because she is a little lazy while her daughter Bimba spend the most part of the day jumping and running inside and outside my home.
In the following pic you can see Nanny in a rare moment: she was climbing my plum tree!
Isn't she so lovely?
Nanny is a cut with short fur, so maybe you don't notice te difference between her summer and winter coats, but watching and taking care of her day by day along the year I can understand that now her fur is thick than before.
Like every pet lovers know, the coats of the cats (like dogs and other animals) change between the seasons, adjusting the fur in thickness for the different temperatures. During the winter, cats become fluffier than usual, especially if the cats use to stay not just inside an house.
The cat of my neighbor, that it's a cat with the fur longer than my Nanny, now is seems to be 2 times larger than during the summer, because his fur is really thick and fluffy.
Caressing Nanny now I can understand that her undercoat is very soft and I know it is because it helps her against cold drafts when she spend her time outside in my backyard. ❤️
Just to know, I understood she was climbing the plum tree because I listen some leaves fallen down all together and I have to watch very well between the branches to see Nanny, because her fur has tha same colors of the leaves on the tree, as you can see in the following pic:
Now she came back at home and she's sleeping on the sofa, so I wish you a wonderful Caturday!!! ❤️
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
