Today, during our daily walking, I see these beautiful yellow wild snapdragons.
The italian name for this plant is "Bocca di leone" that means "Mouth of lion", because the flower remind to the mouth of this animal. It's curious that in my country it reminds a lion and in other countries it reminds a dragon ^_^
In the medieval age, the young women used this flowers to decorate their hair when they wanted to say "No, thanks" to the undesirable suitors and so the flower became the symbol of female whims.
The botanical name of this plant is Antirrhinum majus and it's native of the Mediterranean places. Here in my region we can find many of this flowers now ^_^
