Hello hivers, an happy Thursday to you all!
Sunny day here, but it's not so hot and so I'm writing tis content in front of the open window. The birds are flying around the branches of my plum tree and my furry friend Richy is sleeping in his comfortable bed close to the sofa, what's better? _
This morning I started to work on a new oil on canvas for a commissioned artworks for one of my local collectors (soon I'll share with you the work in progress of that one), but during a pause from work I left my hand free to sketch someting (using my oil colors) on my little sketchbook and this is the final result:
As you can see, I painted a simple woman of mine with blue hair and a large spot of different shades of blue around her neck. It was fast and fun to sketch it! In time I collected a lot of sketchbooks full of sketches and notes about ideas for paintings or other and I like to watch them time after time. The most part of the times I use just a pencil, but I also like to use different medium to fix the ideas I have in my mind.
Coming back to the sketch of today, in the following pics you can see the steps before the final result:
