Hello hivers, an happy Sunday to you all! I hope you are spending a nice weekend with your family or friends or in your favorite way!
My favorite way to spend a weekend is to use my colors and brushes the more I can and, after the dinner, something interesting to watch on my tv sitting on the sofa between my furry friends. 😁
Here it was a very hot Sunday, so me and my hubby spent the most part of the day inside our home (this summer we spent too much weekend inside our home because outside was too hot, it was like to experience a sort of Summer Lockdown), but we will go ou after the dinner, after the sun will started to go down and theair will be cooler. ❤️
Yesterday after the dinner I gave the last touches to a large mixed media (oil and tempera) painting on canvas and now I can show you the final result:
I used tempera colors in black and blue for the background and I used the oil colors for the characters. At the end, I liked the final effect because the tempera colors are matt while the oil colors are glossy and so the result is very interesting for me.
I'm very satisfied by the result and now the piece it's drying (it needd around 4-5 days), but I can show you some steps of the process because, as usual, I took some pics while I was working on it in my lab room:
