How is it that after months of a directed effort by the Intelligence Community, as well as the Deep State, do WE suddenly believe ANYTHING they say?

Then you have Comey and Clapper and the list goes on. I believe there has been enough shade thrown on the Intelligence sector to not only question their information, but their motives as well. Either way, I certainly wouldn't be taking their words as Gospel considering another error on their part could quickly escalate to a massive loss of life.......AGAIN.
A month ago N.Korea was "Years away" from this technology, yet suddenly NOW it's an IMMINENT THREAT?!?! Even though WE have YET to see a successful launch or detonation of any such device.
