What’s in the box’s Silvertop?😄
It was a record breaking cold Winter in the Northwest, with lows of 2 degrees above zero for several day’s 🥶
So I thought I would check and see, (at a distance) how my neighbors Bee hives had faired through the extreme winter weather!
All quiet……..is it still too early, the next time I see Joan, I will ask.😊
For now Silvertop, being allergic to Bees as a kid, and maybe now, will take photos from a distance Lol!🤣
I had a window of sunshine this afternoon, and I thought I would try to hike the shortcut over to the Westergreens trails!😊
I passed the clear cut, and hiked onward to “Westergreen Lake”.
Check out Sumas Mountains reflection in the lake in the fourth photo!
If you remember my post about the Phoenix cell tower, it it on the hill top beyond and above this lake.
There are hundreads of trails, and as I hiked past Westergreen lake, I decided to take the first one on the right heading uphill to see where it lead!😇
Several miles into this trail, I saw this signpost recording the planting of an Alder forest in 2009!😊
Soon Liz would be home, and it just started sprinkling, time to head home!
I could hear the sound of a truck coming up one of the trails through the forest……somewhere…Lol!😲
Exactly where are you Silvertop Lol!🤣
I was so deep into the forest, I had a “marker tree” so I could find my way out!😇
Now that’s the way to start the weekend!
