A rainy Friday, and for this little guy the work goes on! He’s preparing his nest for Winter, stocking up on food.
Rain coat on…..I hiked up to the high Trail.
I passed Adam on a tractor, putting down new road base on the gravel road going up to the off grid cabin.
He is also preparing………even in the rain!
I stopped to talk, and I asked him if he had made it up to the summit of Sumas Mountain?
He said on the big looping trail at the Gold Mine, there is a side trail that is clearly marked.
“Take that trail Silvertop, and it goes up to the top!”😊

When I find the summit, I will take lots of photos! I have heard that on a clear day you can see the Canadian Mountains up to Whistle BC!🤗
My youngest son has camped at the summit as a teenager, he has some breathtaking photos!
The Fall color is changing, I am starting to see more brown and muddier colors in the tree canopy. Hopefully the color will last a bit longer…….
As I near my home on the hike back down the rain is pounding hard! No more photo now……..I need to keep my iPhone dry!😲
