Icy conditions on the trail!!š³
Lolā¦. No Silvertop isnāt having Winter flashbacks!š¤£
We are back hiking on our Mountain, it is so good to be back homeā¦ā¦.
I thought I would post several nice photos of yesterdayās hike at the bay, that I wasnāt able to share š
In the Winter the the Norāeaster wind blows cold on this boardwalk, few people frequent these trails.
With summer almost here, you will find Kayaks and swimmers enjoy the water, and the trails busy!
This second to last photo has a large ārockā out in the bay.
This is actually a large chunk of scrap tin!
In the background where the hotel is now, was the location of one of the largest canneries in this part of Washington.
The scrap tin from this cannery was stacked up, and just pushed out the dock doors into the bay!š®
I donāt think they could do that today!š¤
Liz is looking forward to returning in several weeks, and we will try to get an early start to enjoy the full length of the boardwalk, from Bellingham South to Fairhaven!āŗļø
As the Sun started to set in the West Silvertop and Elizabethbit packed up and headed homeā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦
Enjoy Summer everyone, till tomorrow Silvertopā¦..Mike š
