I don't remember how much I paid for the 1908 Great Britain Gold Sovereign Edward VII.

I know that I bought The 60th Anniversary 2016 Great Britain Gold Sovereign for $480.46 + $38.44 tax.

And I paid GBP539 + GBP43.12 tax and shipping for The1974 Queen Elizabeth II Gold Sovereign.

I purchased the "long neck" coin because it is my favorite rendition of Elizabeth II. Also, she just passed away when I got the coin. As you can guess, I paid extra for that one!

The 2016 is obvious... but the 1908 Edward VII, I bought it for the age of the coin.

Here they the gold coins:

Benedetto Pistrucci created the reverse of sovereign coins in 1817. It features St. George riding on horseback slaying the dragon.

I really like Victoria. I have her in silver, and I am waiting for a good price on a sovereign coin that features her!
