In town is a Rose Garden. It is tended by a group of volunteers are who mostly retirees. I see them often but at the moment no one is around. Which is just perfect!
It is beautiful out here... quite serene when you are alone.
It is a great day and a good time to be with the roses... it pretty much reminds me of my backyard in the first home. Although this is not as big. I would say this lot is a fourth of an acre.
You know who else loves roses? My SweetPea! She loved being with me in the garden... smelling the roses. I was two years into my first home when I got her. She was just a 4-month old puppy.
I remember so vividly the day she entered my life. She came all the way from a breeder from Louisianna and was hand-carried by a dog handler. I met her at the San Francisco International Airport. The excitement of seeing her for the first time is still so fresh in my mind.
She must have been scared or worried, coming from so far away because she was shaking the first time I held her. But so quickly, she settled on my bosom as if she knew that she was finally home and that she belonged to me.
I instantly felt her love, as I know that she felt my love for her. That was 15 years and 3 months ago.
My Yorkshire Terrier was Champion Sired and I had the obligation to attempt to finish her to your championship, which we successfully did together! She was such a beauty and was a great representation of the breed that she garnered all 14 points required by the American Kennel Club to be conferred the title of Champion.
I know that she was created just for me so that I would know and feel what unconditional love was. My Yorkie's name is My SweetPea is Queen of Everything.
