Your first photo made me say "Ouch!!"... it reminded me of a time that one of those spines pricked me. Yeah... it pricked me! I was far from that barrel cactus, and one of its arms reached out to prick me, hehehe!
Santa Barbara is beautiful! I thought that I was going to UCSB, but my Dad and Mom insisted that I attend the Private (Catholic) Jesuit University in SF.

How I wish my computer did not crash last year where all my travel photos were stored on its hard drive. When everything is said and done, only the photos remain.
