I have all sorts of gold coins... little ones, mostly 1/4 oz.
Why? Because that is the size that my budget can afford each month.
Once in a while, if I save money, I can get 1 oz gold, which I did 6 months ago. It took me some 11 months to save up for it.
I got another Amercian Gold Eagle!
That makes six 1/4-ounce American Gold Eagles.
I long to have a Saint Gaudens $20 Double Eagle and the $10 Indian Head Eagle coin. I surely would love to also have the $5 Half and the $2.50 Quarter Eagle coins.
Oh, by the way, I got this recent American Gold Eagle on eBay. You know I shop around. Here is the price that I paid for it:
Earlier, I mentioned that I have lots of miscellaneous small gold coins. I've been rethinking my gold stacking. I still yearn deeply for old American gold coins, but I can make do without them.
I was thinking of not buying any other gold coin but American Gold Eagles for the rest of the year. I have reasons for this. It has something to do with end-of-life stuff. I may talk about it in the future.
