Happy LPUD Anniversary!

Today is a milestone. We are celebrating the 1st Anniversary of LEO Power Up Day. Since I am a silver and gold stacker, I thought it was an opportune time to show some of the Lion Coins!

Animals are typically depicted on coins. Some people adore animal images, thus it's no surprise that certain coins feature animals. Animal-themed coins captivate both animal enthusiasts and coin collectors! The images on coins, whether military or sporting insignia, are symbols of power.

It is an ancient practice to incorporate pictures of animals onto coins and other things. Humans have employed symbols to describe and improve their surroundings since the beginning of time.

According to experts, ancient coins frequently featured horses and eagles. Numerous species have appeared throughout history: elephants, fish, turtles, goats, lions, as well as fictional animals such as unicorns and dragons. Lions are the oldest animals to appear on coins.

Lions are symbols of regal authority. These majestic beasts symbolize power and strength, which is why they have been represented on coins since ancient times. According to experts, lions first appeared on coins in human history. These coins were made in Lydia, presently in Turkey, between 680 and 560 B.C. Lions can also be found on newer coins. Surprisingly, the Lions Club Commemorative Dollar in 2017 is the first time that lions have appeared on a coin in the United States.

Here are a few of Lions in coins and bar, both in gold and silver.

2021 Niue Roaring Lion Silver Coin, Mr Zeke's Hand-poured Lion Head, Scottsdale Stacker Round, 2022 St Helena Una and the Lion, Royal Mint Una and the Lion, 2022 Gold Royal Tudor Lion, and the 2023 Niue Silver Czech Lion

Check out the requirement to become eligible to win one of these prizes:

Your total Leo Power (on the 15th) must be less than 25k.
You must power up at least 150 Leo on June 15.
You must not have powered down Leo since January 15.

We also have our very own LPUD Badges, thanks to hivebuzz@hivebuzz.
