My home is a place of gathering for all sorts of celebrations.

Last Sunday was no exception!

Saturday morning I was informed that the fathers will celebrate here in the house, and my sorority sisters were asking if it was okay. It has been sort of a tradition for them to come here and celebrate.

Of course, it was okay. I am so used to it already!

I did not have to go out of my way. I started preparing after I was back from church.

We were drinking while I was preparing our lunch, chatting away... it was noisy! I think the Jalapeno poppers had something to do with it.

Those of you who know special cuts of meat... not the whole prime rib, but the Prime Rib Cap. Wow, this was really special!

Grilled Pork Belly. It was so soft, done just right!

Crabs, YUM!

And we had the usual sides that I make... bread, vegetables, pasta.

I enjoy families together. And I really appreciate my sorority sisters for thinking of me on occasions like this one when I have no one to celebrate.

I love you and I miss you, Dad, and though you've passed away, you'll never be forgotten, for I think of you each day.

If heaven celebrates this day

how special it will be. A gathering of the many dads upon our family tree.

and great grandfather too. How wonderful it is, if they can spend this day with you.

May you know how much I love you,

though I'm here and you are there. Happy Father's Day in heaven to the best dad anywhere!
