A French 20 Franc is just under one fifth of an ounce of 22-kt gold, or .1867-oz.

The French Franc Napoleon is the oldest and was made from 1852 to 1870 and then followed by the French Franc Angel in 1871 to 1898.This lasted until 1914 when it was replaced by the French Rooster.

In addition to better pricing than modern fractional gold coins like American Eagles, French Francs are just as efficient at rising gold prices as American Eagles, and they have extra value to their fixed and yet limited supply.
