Source
The depiction of two Imperial Amazon parrots is the reverse of the 2021 1 oz EC8 Silver Dominica Coin BU. The Imperial Amazon, commonly referred to as the Sisserou, is an Eastern Caribbean species that is in grave risk of extinction. Dominica's flag features the Sisserou, which is the island nation's national bird.
The year of issue and Dominica's inscription are printed over a picture of two of these parrots perched together on a branch on the reverse of the 2021 coin.
Since each territory is regarded as a monetary authority, the series includes all eight of the island countries that make up the Eastern Caribbean Sea. These are Montserrat, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Grenada, Antigua and Barbuda.
With the highest peaks in the Eastern Caribbean, Dominica is one of the Caribbean islands with the most mountains. The island features many cliff sides and rock faces, which contribute to its high precipitation and quantity of waterfalls. Dominica's is largely untouched, with verdant nature and makes it a haven for eco-tourists, yet there aren't many beaches on this island.
