I am all alone in this world... True!
And so I am grateful that I have friends who surround me with love, joy, and peace throughout the year. I am not wanting in true and close friends!
The house was bustling with activity!
Our yearly Christmas customs have a certain soothing quality that I think endures throughout the years. Some are important! As a group, we make Christmas donation to the Catholic Charities.
Others are just plain ridiculous! This year, we wore our pajamas (since it was so cold) to the Christmas Party.
They had a coloring contest to inspire everyone's artistic side, especially the kids. I provided coloring papers or white paper, and then distributed crayons and markers so that everyone could have some fun. They displayed the works of art so that everyone could see them.
We said a prayer before the meal, then we ate, and ate, and ate!
We played two games after dinner (only two, because it was getting so late!), one of which was sharing the "Best of Awards."
After which, it was time to open our presents to each other. And this took hours... of fun and laughter.
I received gifts galore, and so did everyone else. The four that I like most are pictured below.
I really think that friendship is the glue that holds the world together. Without my best buddies, I'm not sure what I would do. They support me in both good and terrible times, and they are some of the greatest people I have ever met. You probably guessed that I got emotional a couple times reading these quotes.
“Friendship is a precious gift. To give at Christmas time. A cherished gift, a treasured gift that lasts through all time.”
“When I count my blessings at Christmas, I think of friends like you.”
“Best friends are no less than family. You are one of my best friends in life. I love you just as much as I love my family.”
All photos were taken by me with my iPhone.
I hope to see you again soon!
Hugs and Kisses 🥰🌺🤙!!!!
