Weekends are good for musing! Other people have the time, every time, and any time for musing馃榿馃槣... hehehe.

Just in time for #SublimeSunday, the unique opportunity to post something a bit different, wacky, crazy or just whatever takes your fancy and instigated by c0ff33a@c0ff33a 鈽曪笍.

Chocolates

I gathered up three tiny bags of chocolate treat from my recent birthday celebration. These were the bags of chocolates prepared for the group by a sorority sister. We ate them while chatting away the minutes and hours through the evening and day.

I have been eyeing the chocolates, and thinking...

If you eat chocolates with banana or any fruit, will the calories from the chocolate matter?

What a foolish and silly question. Of course it does!

I research the question, and guess what... two had close-enough answers! These were from Quora.

Whiskey

I regularly have a glass of Pinot Noir. For mixed drinks, my favorites are Gin & Tonic, and Manhattan. My poison is Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey! Is in my preferred liquor. Do you like Bourbon?

I came across this Straight Bourbon Whiskey. It is produced east of the Sierra Nevada mountains in Fallon, Nevada.

Bourbon can only be made in Kentucky, right?

Nope, but it's a common misconception. "Kentucky straight bourbon" can only be made in the Bluegrass State, but a handful of other bourbon distilleries are sprinkled around the country. As long as it meets the base criteria to be bourbon, it's bourbon, no matter where it's produced. Bourbon FAQS

This bottle of Straight Bourbon Whiskey will join the others in my makeshift bar.

Bougainvillea

The bloom time for bougainvillea is generally in May through July. And here in this very sunny part of Northern California, they bloom through December!

I love how they cascade down from the back of the other plants. The branches of the Bougainvillea reach out in between the Iceberg Roses.

These Bougainvillea are two shades of pink and orange.

I was reminded of this home in my neighborhood. That was almost four years ago! How time flies.

Tick tock...tick tock...
Life is counting down on your internal clock.

Memories that feel as if they occurred yesterday
turn to flashes of moments that seem to fade away.

People you once knew
walk by without a clue.

The times you once shared
exist as if you were never there.

Years fly...friends die...
and you never know when you'll say your last goodbye.

Oh, how I wish I could turn back time,
spend it with loved ones and cherish what once was mine.

Or to go back even more,
being a kid in a candy store.

How I miss the way I used to feel
on Christmas day when Santa was real.

But back to reality...back to today,
family is scarce and memories continue to fade away.

Tick tock...tick tock...
How I wish I could control this clock.
