Every Easter, I feel the need to make a public service announcement because the confusion is real. Rabbits do not lay eggs. Not yesterday, not today, not ever. Yes, there are a few funky mammals out there that lay eggs, but bunnies are absolutely not part of that club.

So when you see my Easter décor full of birds and colorful eggs, just know I’m keeping it biologically correct over here. Those cute pastel eggs? Bird eggs. Not bunny eggs. The Easter Bunny is basically the courier here, not the one making the product.

It cracks me up every time. We’ve all just accepted this idea of a rabbit handing out eggs it couldn’t possibly produce. Imagine explaining that with a straight face. “No, the bunny doesn’t lay them. Yes, it still brings them. No, I don’t know why. It just does.” Easter bunnies do not lay eggs!

Anyway, consider this my friendly reminder: Easter bunnies do not lay eggs. The birds are doing all the work, and I’m giving them the spotlight they deserve. LOL.
These colored eggs are the birds' eggs, LOL!

I rescued this plant three weeks ago. It was beat‑up, tossed on the side of the road, and it looked like it had no chance.

I picked it up anyway and brought it home. I replanted it, gave it some water, some light, and a little care. Now it’s pushing out new leaves. I’m pretty sure it’s a Christmas cactus, but whatever it is, it’s tough. Watching it bounce back has been a small reminder that a little care can go a long way.

I finally planted the Forget‑Me‑Not seeds that elizabethbit@elizabethbit gave me, and I put them in the flamingo planter she also gifted me.

It takes about 8 to 10 days for them to germinate, so now it’s just a waiting game. I planted around ten seeds because I’m expecting only a 20% to 30% germination rate. As soon as they’re strong enough, I’ll move them to a bigger pot. Forget‑Me‑Nots can grow up to 15 to 18 inches tall, so they’ll need more space.

For now, they’re tucked into their little flamingo home, and I’m hoping at least a few will survive.
