A significant character in the legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table was the strong wizard, Merlin. He was claimed to possess magical abilities and foresight because he was the progeny of a demon and a mortal woman.
The legendary magician appears on the back field of 2023 1 oz Silver Merlin Coins. Merlin is shown with a staff in one hand and an owl perched on his right shoulder. The artwork was created by David Lawrence for the Royal Mint.

It saddens me to think that Elizabeth II is no more 😔.
There is no bullion collection like the Myths and Legends Series from the Royal Mint.
The collection, which has three designs for each mini-series release, is truly a compilation of British folklore and mythical individuals.
