The Australian Silver Kangaroo was launched in 2016 by the Perth Mint.
Since I started stacking at about that time, I have all the Date Set of this bullion coin.
For those who may not know, a Date Set is a collection of identical coins that includes specimens from each minting date for that type of coin.
Stuart Devlin's iconic leaping kangaroo on an Australian copper coin inspired the design on the reverse of the coin.
Coin Highlights:
8th date in the Australian Silver Kangaroo BU Series.
Contains 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver in BU condition.
The face value of $1 (AUD) is fully backed by the Australian government.
On the obverse is Queen Elizabeth II.
The reverse features a leaping kangaroo.
Micro-laser engraved security element on the reverse.
Just like the obverse of the 2023 Australian gold Kangaroo, the commemorative dual date 1952 - 2022 recognizes Elizabeth II's reign as Queen of England and the Commonwealth Nations. This is her last effigy to appear in the Australian Silver Kangaroo coin series.
