I had set plans today to attend a local car show that was near the beach. The kids have been excited to enjoy the day in the sun!

We got out early and stopped at McDonald's for breakfast. Coincidentally, there was a small car show at the McDonald's we ate at! Which turned out to be a blessing...

After we poisoned ourselves with McDonald's we hit the road. I was driving in my VW Dune Buggy. It is a kit car. Highway riding is a bit risky. The car is very small and difficult to control at high speed. The kids being with me was the main reason we wanted the back roads. The buggy itself is very loud. It was hard to hear the GPS and drive a standard with the engine roaring. We made it 30 minutes and came to a closed road!!! At that point I had no other option but to hit the highway or set a new plan in action. A new plan was the choice. .

We ended up back tracking and swinging by a local park. It is much more quiet and slower pace. Compared to the busy state beaches that are one road in and out. I found a nice spot in the shade and the kids ran wild for a couple hours. A plate of fried dough and some frozen lemonade was a treat.

☝️Arrival back home! My son somehow passed out in the passenger seat. Which seems nearly impossible!

It's always interesting to look back at the end of everyday. Take a look at your origonal intentions. Then see what was successful and what wasn't. It seems to me like EVERYTHING happens for a reason. It's hard to go with the flow and not try and take control. Sometimes you just need to listen to the signs that are put infront of you. (Road Closed)

Thank god we made it to the car show at McDonald's this morning! We a very fun day creating new memories.
