The first scenario is kinda funny how it happened. Plastic everything now a days. You got really lucky on the second one, as bad as it was, it could’ve been much worse.
I did a total bathroom gut a year ago for someone because the entire ceiling from their living room came down from leaking walls in the tub/shower. There was so much black mold it was nuts.
