I’ve gotten beat by the bubble a few times. The last one hurt the most. I won an entry into a $1,000 buy in tournament and was doing well. I took a bad beat where someone sucked out a better hand that they should’ve even been in. I had a pair of 8’s, flopped a set, other cards were 7, jack. He raised my bet. I saw he only had about 800 left so I put him all in. He had a pair of jacks to my set. Wouldn’t you know he sucked out a straight. It put my on the bubble after that bad beat. Six spots left before the money. After that I couldn’t get any cards to play with and ended up playing all in with like $400 left on 10, jack suited. Lost
I know it was a free entry but dam the smallest payout was $8,000.
