I hope everyone is having a good day. Today I am going to share a coin from a series that I think is awesome.
It is the Rwanda Endangered Species series. Some of you might have seen these before, but there are many that do not.
The series began in 2009. but the coin I am sharing with you today is the 2912 Rhino coin. This one happens to be an F15 privy one. The F15 stands for “Fabulous 15”,. This means it is a part of a special series of 15 coins chosen as the best.
Here are the coin specs:
Contains 1 oz of .999 fine Silver.
Obverse: A rhino and her calf standing close to the water, with the continent of Africa arching over the animals. The text "African Ounce", year of 2012 and the purity are listed along the edge.
Reverse: The official seal of Rwanda and the face value of 50 Francs.
Sovereign coin backed by the Rwandan government.
This 2012 release had a mintage of just 5,000 coins.
