Greetings, friends! Here is one more illustration for the board game project working with @manoldonchev. I made two versions of the illustration. I have not painted such characters before, so I needed to see more characters of Trolls before starting to paint it. Even then I had to make my version of Trolls. So, I started sketching the characters, but I did not imagine it yet. As I told you before, I need to see the whole painting in my imagination. otherwise, it can be difficult for me. They had to be big stone creatures holding branches from trees hiding in the shadows of trees stalking from an ambush...
I worked on a 300 gr watercolor paper. First I wet the paper. then started to paint the background. After that the trees and Trolls. I could make some pictures from the process. If I have to be honest I often forget.
This picture is taken while the sun lit the room. There is a bit of difference.
