My first week in Splinterforge

I've been playing Splinterlands on/off since the end of the Untamed era and I've been accumulating some cards over time

. I have also put some money into the game, but nothing to break the bank. While I continue playing Splinterlands consistently I've stumbled across Splinterforge one week ago.

Somehow this game had not hit my bubble until I saw it on one of Dwayne Cunningham's videos but when I did it peaked my interest. A way of utilizing assets from Splinterlands in another game centered around PvE boss battles? Sign me up!

First few days I had no clue what I was doing and certainly did not fare well. But after a week a playing here are my tidbits for new players (mind you these are mostly around Bronze battles):

• Byzantine Kitty seems to be godmode so if you want one rental to use both in Splinterlands and Splinterforge, you will not get it wrong with Kitty.
• Coeurl Lurker seems to be doing very well on average and so is the Kraken.
• You can check recent battles against a monster and study what team combos others use and implement similar strategies, if your deck allows.
• Certain abilities have no use yet in Splinterforge and therefore they've been converted into 1,5x damage instead. These monsters tend to do quite well on average.
• Monster order does not seem to matter.
• Double strike monsters have value especially in Forcefield ruleset that halves the damage of monsters with >5 attack.
• You can play this also via the Hive keychain mobile app and going to the browser section - interface is not ideal and it takes some getting used to but it can help getting a few more battles in.

That's about it for now. I am currently building up Forge from the wins to buy my first pack. Once I do I'll share the pack opening experience and how the gear would influence my scores against the Bronze bosses.
