When a movie gets totally shredded by critics, that makes me want to watch it more. I remember when Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher was released and people walked out of the premier (with him and current fling Demi Moore also in the audience), I said, "Yup, gotta see that." It wasn't that bad. Made as much sense as any other time traveling movie as far as I could tell...

One of the first X-Men comics I read was Uncanny X-Men 177. It opens from Mystique's point of view and she kills 6 of 7 X-Men in like 3 pages. Turns out she wasn't actually fighting X-Men, just training in Arcade's Murder World against X-men robots (similar to the X-Men danger room), but still... bad ass.
