As I was emptying out my old art portfolio I found a batch of character portraits from my old RPGA-sanctioned club in Hawaii (D.O.G.S = Dedicated Oahu Gaming Society). Back then I charged $20 for a character portrait, colored pens on paper. There was actually a professional comic artist who came to our DOGS games days who also charged $20 for commissions, but some people came to me instead.
Anyway, the originals went to the owner playing the character, but I made a color photocopy of my work in case I ever decided to create a portfolio or something. And back then a color copy was like $3!
