BOOK CLUB: LET ME TELL YOU A STORY // PERSISTING IN THE FACE OF FAILURE [ENG-ESP]

Greetings my dear friends. Welcome to a new meeting to reflect through my blog.

This interesting reading has left me a beautiful learning that I thought worthy of sharing with all of us who make life in this great platform as it is the blockchain, is a beautiful collection of fables and stories by the author Jorge Bucay entitled "Let me tell you a story" beforehand I invite you not to stay only with the perspectives shared here and venture to embrace their own learning, delighting your life with this content.

Each one of these little stories keeps between its lines experiences with which you can feel very identified, I particularly liked many of them, but among those that impacted me the most is "The chained elephant” I will quickly make a small summary of its narrative and it is curious to be very observant in these cases, since I had never sat down to determine why an elephant with so much strength stays so calm tied to a small stake, taking into account that he has the capacity and strength necessary to free himself from there.

Imagine that everyone in this world adopted the attitude of the elephant, the one that in its early stages of life tried to break free from the stake that held it captive, without obtaining a positive response and only allowed the years to pass and did not decide to try again What would humanity be without scientific advances? If they had only tried a couple of times to find an antidote or even a vaccine as we experienced a couple of years ago in the times of pandemic and where the number of deaths was something exorbitant.

I would dare to assure you that the circumstances would be totally different from today and we would not have such a liberal and comfortable lifestyle as the one we lead. That is precisely what life is all about living, without fear of failure, if we fall we get up and try again and again, until at the least expected moment we not only walk but we dare to lighten our pace until we make a great run. In my care group I have learned something very valuable and that is that the one who feels alive intensely is the one who dares to persevere for what he dreams and wants to achieve, those who stand by without trying were only dead in life until their end came.

Another of the readings that I liked very much and it is for the moral that leaves us at the end is the value of the ring" and I want to start my reflection on this story leaving a question Why should we expect others to tell us how much we are worth? This story encourages us to foster our confidence in the talents that characterize us, the skills and virtues that describe us, but above all to understand that as human beings we are unique and we should value ourselves for who we are, we cannot wait for others to provide us with our own value because no one knows your own capabilities as well as you do.

On the way you will experience afflictions and adverse situations, but with constancy and persistence you will harvest the fruit of your efforts and the satisfaction you will feel when you can feel your achievements will make you feel that everything has a beautiful reward, and even more so when things are obtained by meritocracy, if you want to expand a little more this reflection I invite you to read "two numbers less" in this same book.

Saludos mis estimados amigos. Bienvenidos a un nuevo encuentro reflexionar a través de mi blog.

Esta interesante lectura me ha dejado un hermoso aprendizaje que me pareció digno de compartir con todos los que hacemos vida en esta gran plataforma como lo es la blockchain, es una hermosa recopilación de fabulas y cuentos del autor Jorge Bucay titulado “Déjame que te cuente un cuento” de ante mano les invito a que no se queden solo con las perspectivas aquí compartidas y que se aventuren a abrazar sus propias aprendizajes, deleitando su vida con este contenido.

Cada uno de estos pequeños relatos guarda entre sus líneas experiencias con las cuales te puedes sentir muy identificada a mí en lo particular me gustaron muchas, pero entre las que más me impactaron se encuentra “El elefante encadrenado” rápidamente les hare un pequeño resumen de su narrativa y resulta curioso ser muy observador en estos casos, ya que nunca me había sentado a determinar porque un elefante con tanta fuerza se queda tan tranquilo amarrado a una pequeña estaca, tomando en cuenta que él tiene la capacidad y fuerza necesaria para liberarse de allí.

Entonces allí entra mi reflexión imagínense que todos en este mundo adoptáramos la actitud del elefante, aquel que en sus primeras etapas de vida intento zafarse de aquella estaca que lo mantenía cautivo, sin obtener una respuesta positiva y solo permitio que pasaran los años y no decidió volverlo a intentar ¿Qué sería de la humanidad sin los avances científicos? Si ellos solo hubiesen intentado un par de veces encontrar un antídoto o hasta una vacuna como lo vivimos hace un par de años en los tiempos de pandemia y donde el número de muertes fue algo exorbitante.

Me atrevería asegurarles que las circunstancias serian totalmente distintas a las actuales y no tendríamos un estilo de vida tan liberal y reconfortable como el que llevamos. De eso se trata precisamente la vida de vivir, sin miedo al fracaso, si nos caemos nos levantamos y lo volvemos a intentar una y otra vez, hasta que en el momento menos pensado no solo caminamos sino que nos atrevemos a aligerar nuestro paso hasta hacer una gran carrera. En mi grupo de cuidado he aprendido algo muy valioso y es que aquel que se siente vivo intensamente es el que se atreve a perseverar por lo que sueña y quiere alcanzar, los que se quedan a la espera sin intentar solo estuvieron muertos en vida hasta que llego su final.

Otro de las lecturas que me gustó muchísimo y es por la moraleja que nos deja al final es “el valor del anillo” y quiero iniciar mi reflexión de este cuento dejándoles una interrogante ¿Por qué debemos esperar que otros nos digan cuanto valemos? Este relato nos incentiva a fomentar nuestra confianza en los talentos que nos caracterizan, las habilidades y virtudes que nos describen, pero sobre todo a que entendamos que como seres humanos somos únicos y debemos valorarnos por lo que somos, no podemos esperar a que otros nos aporten nuestro propio valor porque nadie conoce tus propias capacidades como tú mismo.

En el camino experimentaras aflicciones y situaciones adversas, pero con constancias y persistencia lograras cosechar el fruto de tus esfuerzos y la satisfacción que sentirás al poder palpar tus logros te harán sentir que todo tiene una hermosa recompensa y más aún cuando las cosas son obtenidas por meritocracia, si quieres ampliar un poco más esta reflexión te invito a leer “dos números menos” en este mismo libro.
