Lara rescued a tribal youth from Trinity forces in the forest, earning the trust of a local tribe. They guided her blindfolded to the spectacular hidden city of Paititi. There, Lara met the queen, explained her mission against Trinity, reunited with Jonah, and received authentic local attire.
Right when Lara was trying to help the young boy from a local tribe was trapped, someone tried to ambush Lara and she handled the situation smoothly with some arrow shots.
After taking care of that man, Lara noticed the insignia of Trinity on him so she got confirmed that man works for Trinity though he's not the modern age men.
More enemies suddenly appeared and just when things looked dire, members of a local tribe emerged and shot all of the enemies at once, effectively rescuing Lara and the kid.
The tribe found Lara a little trustworthy but to ensure the absolute secrecy of their home, the tribe blindfolded Lara before leading her to their sanctuary.
It became clear that the youth Lara saved belonged to this native tribe. The boy's mother, who appeared to be a prominent leader or queen of the community, arrived wearing an intricate, full caped outfit.
She questioned Lara closely, asking what her purpose was in their territory and how she managed to find this secluded location if she was not affiliated with the Cult. Lara spoke the truth and explained that she was a researcher.
They brought Jonah in, and Lara felt immense relief to find her friend safe and unharmed. The queen then commanded her son to provide Lara with proper local clothing and ordered the guards to keep Jonah company.
To prove her point, Lara showed a photograph of an insignia. The queen recognized it and mentioned the name Paititi, the legendary hidden city.
Lara questioned her about the serpent with the silver eye, but the queen warned her that it was a place of death and sacrifice, noting that no one who went there ever returned.
Despite the grave warning, Lara insisted she was willing to try because her primary goal was simply to stop the Cult.
The queen then commanded her son to provide Lara with proper local clothing and ordered the guards to keep Jonah company.
Lara changed into the beautifully crafted tribal clothes, making her look exactly like one of the locals and the queen decided to take a walk with her.
As she stepped out into the open, she was amazed to discover a massive, vibrant village hidden within the city, filled with numerous villagers living their lives completely cut off from the modern world.
