While exploring the Hidden City of Paititi, I walks with Queen Unuratu through the busy market district. After witnessing Dr. Dominguez use his role as cult leader to control the people, Lara learns about the Silver Box of Ix Chel. I then met the Queen's son, Etzli, before venturing deep into ancient ruins to find the box before the next disaster strikes.
The journey took a massive leap forward as I arrived in the Hidden City of Paititi, an ancient settlement hidden away from the rest of the modern world. My primary goal here was to connect with Unuratu, the rightful queen of the land.
However, following her at her slow walking pace quickly proved to be a bit tedious, as I wanted to reach the next main objective area much faster. Trying to save some time, I decided to break away from her path.
When I reached the main square, I ran into a massive crowd of people who had gathered around a public platform. It turned out that the cult members were preparing the citizens for a major gathering. Unuratu soon caught up, and we watched the scene unfold together.
The tension rose when the cult leader stepped onto the stage to address the crowd. To Lara’s surprise, the man leading the cult was none other than Dr. Dominguez. Listening to him speak made it obvious how deeply Trinity had worked its way into Paititi's society.
Shortly after the speech, a brief argument broke out nearby when a man tried to attack Unuratu, but she quickly stopped him, proving her strength as a ruler once again.
With the crowd beginning to clear out, Lara updated Jonah over the radio about Dominguez and the current state of the city. Unuratu told Lara that to stop Trinity's bad plans, we needed to locate the Silver Box of Ix Chel before Dominguez could get his hands on it.
To point me in the right direction, she sent me to meet her young son, Etzli, near the base of the mountain.
When I found Etzli, the young boy was curious about the world outside Paititi. Lara briefly explained that the outside world is huge. Etzli then shared crucial details about where I needed to go next.
He pointed toward a dark entrance known as the Eye of the Serpent, warning me that the area smelled like death and was full of real danger. Taking a breath, I stepped past the burning torches and ventured deep inside the shadowy stone ruins to search for the box.
