I wanted one when it came out but never got it. I was worried about the battery part. Rechargeable batteries was not mainstream quite yet even though Energizer had some but they were expensive and didn't work that well keeping a charge. I knew that when i used my gameboy a lot and stopped using the rechargeable batteries since they were a bad investment!
