Sounds accurate. Go big or go home and unwavering conviction tend to separate those who win big from those who score only minor victories or none.
That is true both in business as well as crypto and all other investing. That doesn't mean many with conviction won't be wrong. But, for instance, the fact is that those who have been in Bitcoin since 2016 and before and stayed the course have done tremendously well. It takes capacity for independent thought and an ability to stand alone outside of the crowd and the (false) sense of security it affords to have done so. Also, the amount of verbal and psychological abuse the pioneers of crypto is quite real and partly observable in the still lingering hostility that is slowly giving way to approval by the earliest institutional adopters.
