Tokenization does not need blockchain. Blockchain adds value where trust would be misplaced without the guarantees afforded by blockchain. I think users will know when an app they use is blockchain-based because they must be willing to bear the extra cost. The uncancelability of Web 3.0 accounts comes with an extra cost as do trustless NFTs. What they won't necessarily know is what chain the app they use is using.
