Yes, obviously. Giving someone two life sentences for setting up a free-market is ridiculous.

Ross Ulbricht was convicted of money laundering, computer hacking, conspiracy to traffic fraudulent identity documents, and conspiracy to traffic narcotics by means of the internet.

I think he did deserve jail time for what he did but two life sentences without the possibility of parole plus 40 years is beyond ridiculous.

Two life sentences is a joke in and of itself unless you are convicting a cat. I heard they have nine lives. 40 years on top of that is like adding a lame punchline to a joke that came with two consecutive or concurrent lame punchlines to begin with.

A life sentence is only appropriate for murder.

I really hope Trump would pardon the man.
