The Engine rebrand naming competition went amazingly -- the original post has almost 100 replies now! 🎉🎉

I'll definitely be doing more competitions in the future (definitely post-launch) -- so stay tuned! But for now let's see the winners of the naming competition!

So first we'll start with the resteem winner, who will receive 20 STEEM!

Now it's time for the big rewards -- 60 STEEM at stake for whose name is selected for the new Engine! The 60 STEEM will be divided between the top 5 names, but the majority will be given to the winner. Here's the split:

Reef is a great name - it conveys a feeling of abundance and variety and also matches with the Steem name in a way. A reef is an oasis within a great sea of condensed Steem (water). Congratulations @luegenbaron -- you will receive 1 STEEM.

4th place - @preparedwombat with Ajudant!

Ajudant is the word for 'helper' in Catalan. Engine (soon to be rebranded) is a helper to Steem. The name is interesting in its origin and sounds interesting. The biggest gripe for me is not having a clear way to create a good brand using the name, unlike some other names in the list. Congratulations @preparedwombat -- you will receive 2 STEEM.

3nd Place - @hobo.media with Caboose!

Caboose is a great name that has a connection to a Steem (engine) -- and has a lot of potential for branding material. Congratulations @hobo.media -- you will receive 3 STEEM!

2rd place - @bryan-imhoff with Pneumatic!

Sounds like a great name -- and is related to Steem. According to Wikipedia:

Pneumatics is a branch of engineering that makes use of gas or pressurized air.

(or Steem!) Plus, I can think of a dozen different interesting logos using this name. Also, as @bryan-imhoff said in his comment:

I just discovered that an informal alternate definition is apparently, “ having large breasts” so that’s a bonus! Perfect marketing campaign material... 😆

@cryptocurator with Stratos (Stratosphere)!

Congratulations @cryptocurator with your fantastic name Stratos, or Stratosphere! It is an interesting name and also links well with the Stratos project. The stratosphere is the layer in the atmosphere above the troposphere (where we live in) -- which contains the most moisture, or even Steem!
