I love unusual colors and every so often I find something extraordinary like this purple orchid. Orchids are my favorite flower due to their beauty and longevity. Once they bloom the flower lasts a long time. They also teach you patience because sometime you wait 6 months for the next bloom.
Purple Orchid
I think the above purple orchid is my favorite, but the one below is also very nice. It鈥檚 not as exotic looking because it was a solid color, but in person it was worth the drive to the orchid show. 馃憦馃憦
This last entrant is also purple, a smaller delicate flower, which lights up a room. This one鈥檚 price was right, so I brought it home.
I also thought because of its particular shade of purple that with the right filter I could make a blue flower out of it, and viola.
