Experience in resolving cassette error and note jam of CRM 61 machine.
Today, while working on a CRM 61 machine, I came across a very nice and different experience. Suddenly, the machine displayed the second cassette error and top cassette error messages. From my experience working at the field level, two things are usually clear when you see such messages. Either there is a mechanical problem in the cash cassette, or the money inside is not feeding properly and is jammed.
To pinpoint the problem, I carefully opened the dispenser unit and started testing. After opening the unit, my suspicions were proven correct. The two cassette boxes where the error was showing, had money stuck in a very strange way. The notes were twisted and jammed in the mechanism inside the cassette, due to which the machine could not complete the normal transaction process.
Then, slowly and very carefully, I took out the crumpled notes stuck in the two cassette boxes. I cleaned the entire dispenser unit and cassette mechanism thoroughly and cleared all error messages. After resetting everything properly, I sent it for a test transaction again. Luckily, the machine started working normally right away and dispensed notes beautifully.
In technical work, one has to face new challenges every day. However, when the machine is operational again after finding the root cause of a complex problem and successfully solving it, that feeling of joy is truly wonderful and different.
