ATM machine digital lock problem solution and an experience.
Today I had to face a different experience at work. I got into a lot of trouble with the digital password lock of an ATM machine. The lock was opening automatically without giving any password. Such a problem can be quite serious in the case of banking security.
After seeing the problem, I informed my superiors. Then I contacted an experienced engineer in our lab. After talking to him and knowing the details, he told me a technical aspect of the problem and a way to solve it.
Later, I started working using the instructions given by the engineer and my own thoughts. The main problem of the lock was in the spring connected to the motor inside it. Since the spring was not working in the right position, the lock could not be locked properly and was repeatedly releasing itself.
It was possible to repair the lock by adjusting the combination of the motor and the spring. Then when I checked the lock again by entering the password, it started working properly as before. I fixed the problem, reinstalled the lock on the machine, and made the ATM machine ready for transactions.
It is truly a joy to be able to solve an important technical problem using my own talent and the advice of experienced people. Such successful experiences in the workplace greatly increase the enthusiasm and confidence in the work.
