Hello homesteaders, I hope we're all doing good, and for the agriculturalist I hope our plants are growing well.
Today I'll be updating us about my little groundnut plant I planted in between my maize farm.
I quickly made use of the opportunity I had to plant before the deadline to do the needful.
Groundnut is a very goof plant and I so much love it, I can't do a week without eating it, so I taught I will not be a bad idea if I could plant it myself.
Being a beginner in Agriculture but learning so fast, have learnt couple of things in the main time I started engaging in Agriculture. And I have been enjoying my time in the farm. Apart from the cassava and beans I planted in between my maize in my other farm... I also cultivate a small portion of land where I plant some maize and some groundnut in between which am exhibiting today.
I learnt groundnut would take a period of 4 to 5 months before harvesting, and my plant is still less than a month old. Meaning I still have a long way to go.
All what I planted is just on five to six ridges right behind my office. Since it's within my reach I made sure I check it every time in order to be sure it's growing well.
Being in a rural area is really a blessing in disguise for me. There's is a lot of land to plant whatever I want to plant and I also have the time to practice agriculture as my work don't take most of my time. I resume 8am and close 2pm so, this makes me have enough time to also focus on agriculture.
I can't wait to see my plant grow to the stage of harvest though am also being patient enough to see all the stages I had to go through before harvesting, very soon I'll be doing some weeding and that's one of the tedious things we face in Agriculture.
Investing in Agriculture has been a very interesting thing and I enjoy every bit of my time practicing it.
