Teaching is a very crucial profession which needs to be given adequate attention, because in it determines a lot of destinies. A big kudos to our teachers most especially the ones teaching in nursery and primary schools, it's not easy at all. Am also into teaching and I know what it takes to teach.
Teachers also in one way or the other makes teaching fun filled or be a bad experience for one.
There are some of my teachers that I can never forget how much they laboured so that we the students can also become a better person. They worked so hard, they went extra mile to dispense the best to us.
I can't really say much about my nursery and primary school teachers, because I can't remember vividly all that happened then but I know they really contributed to my growth, and for that they have my blessings/prayers always.
I'll talk more about my secondary school teachers, because I remember almost everything that happened there just like it was yesterday.
I have these teachers that were outstanding, I mean they discharged there duties brilliantly. On a scale of 1-10, I'll rate them 9.99/10 lols... 10/10
Firstly, it will be my biology teacher, Mr. Babarinde... A man that is ever ready to teach, it got to a time when we were about to write WAEC, a senior school external examination. This man create time for us on Saturdays, what we do basically was practical but some times we also use that time to cover up the scheme of work.
Virtually everyone loves this man, because asides the fact that he's hard-working, he's also very friendly and accommodating, so whenever we have difficulties with a thing or two, we easily go to him freely and he will gladly put us through.
The second person is my Chemistry teacher, a very loving woman with a heart of gold. Herself and my biology teacher made me love science. This woman too will make us come to school very early in the morning to take us on series of classes and practicals, the interesting part is we didn't see it as a burden or disturbance, we took it with joy. Chemistry practicals were very easy for me with her help. Talk of titration and the rest of them. She's having my ten over ten aswell.
Now talking about the teacher that I'll grade very low or someone I'll call the worst of all my teachers in secondary school. It'll definitely be my Geography teacher.
You see, teachers have a lot to do in determining the destiny of a child to some extent. I realized that from the change of teachers we had when I was in senior secondary school one (ss 1) we had a female teacher teaching us Geography, she was very good and with that I was beginning to like the subject but before we even finish the term she was transferred to another school and we got a new teacher, a man... hmm this new teacher is just the opposite of the former, completely different, I can count the number of times he usually visit our class in a term without stressing my calculator. I don't even have to grade him because he has zero over ten (0/10) already.
Imagine I wanted to be a Geographer/Geologist, that's how his poor and nonchalant attitude would ruin that for me.
Whatever we do we should do it well, just like the saying "what's worth doing is worth doing well."
