In this part of the world (Nigeria) just one job is not enough to live a good life especially for an average Nigerian, you need to double your hustle as we do call it, meaning you have to be into two or more jobs/works together in order to make ends meet, having a good savings or being able to invest in some things that would in turn give birth to more money. Coincidentally @moremoney happens to be a name of a friend, who's also on hive, so when ever I remember that name, I be like more money has to be made, let me just say I love that name. 馃憤
Before now or let me say few years back I was into the business of selling shoes, and so because i don't have a shop, I run a mobile shop i.e online business. I take orders and then I way bill it to my customers. Very simple to say right? but trust you won't want to experience how stressful it's, plus meeting customers are just very annoying, sorry to use that word, that's just the truth... you can imagine someone wants to buy sneakers from you but don't know his/her size... it's so frustrating.
I met a customer one time, she wanted to buy for her boyfriend though, it was suppose to be a birthday gift, after choosing her choice of sneakers, it got to the point where she had to say the size she wanted it became a problem, she did not know the shoe size of her boyfriend hmm 馃槒 I knew I was in trouble already... So I just told her to confirm the size before making order because guessing won't solve the matter, she said okay.
She got back to me after some weeks with the intention that she had confirmed the size so the deal was sealed, I sent her the sneakers, the birthday surprise was done but not dusted 馃檲馃檲 why? It was not her boyfriend's size, damn this was where the chaos started, I got to know this after three days, returning shoes is not an easy thing (the price of the waybill) and then and then my seller won't not even think twice to add extra money to any shoe one wants to exchange. And since it was just a pair returning it would result to her being one the loser side, the best option was to get another buyer for it hmm so stressful and frustrating.
Funny enough she was putting the blame on me for giving her an undersized shoe, it was just so crazy because I don't know how that seems to be my fault.
I had no choice than to just settle it amicably with her.
Luckily for her I found someone that needs that shoe size but I tried my best to convince the customer to also choose that kind of design, that was how I got over that issue and then I could call it done and dusted... I had so many funny cases like that with different kinds of people, it was also fun though (a funny experience if you will ask me) I was getting to know a lot of people and most importantly I was gradually securing the bag, the business was a good side hustle for me because I had my main job too.
Coming from that, I was introduced to hive by a very good friend of mine @vickoly last year April, and trust me I was not finding hive interesting at all I had to leave the platform for some weeks after my introduction post.
All thanks to vickoly for his encouragement, he made me consistent and also helped in finding solutions all my questions including the silly one's too, and today hive is one of the best thing that has ever happened to me, have also onboard some people who are also doing well on the block chain.
I was doing three jobs at the time I started hive but the love I derived from it made me quit my shoe business, why? I found hive to be more instresting, more easy, better etc...
All thanks to Hive Block chain, Hive is my home and it means everything to me, it also a life saver because it has saved my ass a whole lot.
If I should start explaining how hive has helped me become a better person I won't stop today and this post won't have an end but let me just drop my pen here, we'll continue another day. thanks 鉁岋笍馃グ
