There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galiliaeans, because they suffered such things? Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think think ye that they were sinners above all men that dewelt in Jerusalem? And he anserwing said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

바로 그때 몇몇 사람들이 와서 빌라도가 갈릴리 사람들의 피를 그의 희생제물과 섞었다는 소식을 예수께 전했습니다.
예수께서 대답하셨습니다. "그 갈릴리 사람들이 다른 모든 갈릴리 사람들보다 더 악한 죄인이어서 이런 변을 당했다고 생각하느냐? 그렇지 않다. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 너흳 회개하지 않으면 모두 멸망할 것이다. 또 실로암에서 탑이 무너져 죽은 18명은 어떠하냐? 다른 모든 예루살렘 사람들보다 그들이 죄를 더 많이 지었다고 생각하느냐?그렇지 않다. 내가 너희에게 말한다. 너희도 회개하지 않으면 모두 멸망할 것이다.
예수께서 이런 비유를 말씀하셨습니다. "어떤 사람이 포도원에 무화과나무를 한 그루 심었다. 그는 열매가 열렸을까 해서 가 보았지만 하나도 보이지 않았다.
그래서 그는 포도원지기에게 말했다. '이 무화과나무에 열매가 있는지 보려고 3년 동안이나 와 보았건만 하나도 없으니 나무를 베어 버려라. 무엇 때문에 땅만 버리겠느냐?
그러자 그 종이 대답했다. '주인님, 한 해만 그냥 두십시오. 그러면 제가 그 둘레를 파고 거름을 주겠습니다. 혹 내년에 열매가 열릴지도 모릅니다. 그렇지 않으면 그때 베어 버리십시오.'"

기회가 항상 오는 것이 아니다.
지금, 즉시... 바로.
자신을 돌아보고... 말씀 앞에 비추어보고.. 여쭈어보고...
